Are Electronic Game Calls Legal in Ontario

It is prohibited to take or attempt to catch wild animals and wild birds, with the exception of bobcats, coyotes, crows, foxes and raccoons using or aiding from recorded calls or sounds of animals or birds or from electrically recorded or amplified imitations of the calls or sounds of animals or birds; provided that electronic calls can be used on private land for hunting bobcats, coyotes, foxes and raccoons with the written permission of the landowner and on public lands, unless expressly prohibited. (16) (1) The holder of a licence or a person who is otherwise authorized to hunt under these Regulations shall ensure that every element of the person`s driver`s licence and any other document that the person is required to carry during the hunt under these Regulations remains intact and legible.
